How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.
In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.
PSALM 31:19-20
Our starting point needs to be His goodness, because it is ever-present and unconditional. It is there for you in the middle of the night, early with the sunrise and at the end of a long hard day. His smile; His grace; always there.
That is a massive statement of where your faith should spring from, Beloved. It’s a cornerstone on which to build. If you can learn to face circumstances with the foundational knowledge not just in your heart but in your head, from experience, that God is good and so He will be with you in this, then you can also understand the potential you have to bounce back and go to a newer, deeper level with Him.
When you feel pulled under by the weight of loss, pain, set-backs and failures; you can hit the reset button and remember “But He said He’d never leave me.. Which means He’s here!”
Take the goodness of God our for a spin. See how far it can go, see just exactly how far God is willing to do in His goodness!”
PERFECTING THE ART OF BOUNCING BACK
Authenticity in your relationship with the Lord is a spiritual imperative. Without it, your intimacy with Him will die on the vine.
Once you have learned to connect to His love and goodness from a real Father to Son/Daughter place, you will begin to experience a fuller capacity of the fruits of the spirit. Moving into grace, mercy, kindness, patience, love, peace and joy will come easier to you.
But you have to remember that extraordinary encounters with God don’t come when everything is going according to your plan and things are running smoothly. They come through adversity. They come through difficulty.
God is looking for people with a sense of wonder and adventurousness. People who will take themselves out of their comfort zone, trusting in His goodness. People who have the resilience to bounce back with expressing those fruits of grace, kindness, peace and goodness.
