It’s impossible for you to love God unless He has loved you first.

“We love, because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

Everything comes from God; from Him, through Him, and to Him are all things. Love comes from God, goes through God and ends up back unto God.

If God ever commands anything of you, you can only fulfill that command by first receiving the very thing that He wants from you. From Him, through Him, and to Him; it’s a cycle, and we are right in the middle of it.

What God wants from you, He plans to give you first; every command of God is preceded by a gift, a kind intention.

Isn’t that just like God? This empowers us to fulfill His command because He is the source for every experience that He plans for us.

God will not command us to do anything that He is not willing to do for us.

When God tells us to love Him, what do you think He is doing?

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)

If God is telling us to love Him, that means He is doing exactly the same thing towards us because it takes God to love God. Only God can love God properly, and God does not ask us to do anything that actually originates in us.

Perhaps the best part of this spiritual principle is how “easy & light” & simple it makes things for us.

He—His presence—is the source for everything we need to live in Christ.

Hope this resolves within you today and that you find all the strength to walk with Him in a very real and sincere connection with Him today!
