Walking off your map is not an exceptional experience in our life with Christ. In fact, it should be quite common. The scriptures are filled with examples of people who walked off their map and stepped into an invitation to walk with the Lord while the details get filled in along the way. Joseph navigated a trip to Egypt; Moses lead an entire tribe through the wilderness into the Promised Land.

Oftentimes, walking off our map starts with a new thought that leads to a fresh encounter with the Lord. It’s the Presence of God that supplies all our confidence and assurances within the journey. He’s opening up an invitation to us saying, “Walk with me, and I’ll fill you in”. It’s a prime opportunity for God to write a chapter of faith and trust into our story with Him.
